The Greater San Antonio Chamber Names Katie Ferrier as Vice President, Public Policy, Education and Workforce Development

San Antonio, TX, April 18, 2024– The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce Katie Ferrier as our new Vice President of Public Policy, Education, and Workforce Development. In her newly expanded role, she will be responsible for the Greater Chamber’s overall advocacy efforts as the preeminent voice of the business community for the San Antonio region. With over 20 years of experience in public policy, government relations, and strategic communications, Ferrier will lead the Greater Chamber’s public policy team in serving an active group of member volunteers to shape, develop, and foster policies that make San Antonio a great place to live, work, and grow a business.

“We are pleased to build our team with Katie's promotion to Vice President of Public Policy, Education, and Workforce Development,” said President and CEO Jeff Webster. “Katie is nationally recognized for her policy expertise and leadership serving on numerous local and national boards including the US Chamber of Commerce, Ready Nation, and various statewide councils. Her political insight, policy background, and experience with membership organizations make her an ideal candidate for this role, and we are confident she will continue to make a difference in our community.”

Ferrier has been the VP of Education & Workforce Development for the Greater San Antonio Chamber since February 2021. Ferrier’s career includes time as a legislative staffer in both chambers of the US Congress and as national representative in the Washington, DC offices of YMCA of the USA and Girl Scouts of the USA, securing appropriations and shepherding legislation and regulations at the federal level. Ferrier has also served state and local organizations in Austin including the Real Estate Council of Austin and Texas Alliance of Child & Family Services.

Ferrier has a B.A. from Texas Tech University and an M.A. in Policy Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
